DESIGNED FOR GAS FIRE PITS, FIREPLACES & GRILLS – This adjustable natural gas regulator is designed with the pressure and flow requirements for outdoor gas fire pits, built in grills and fireplaces. It provides the recommended 3” WC to 6” WC (water column) pressure necessary to have robust flames while preventing the whistling sound too high of pressure causes.

3” WC to 6” WC OUTPUT - This adjustable natural gas regulator reduces line pressure from 1/2 psi (approximately 14" WC) to the range of 3” water column to 5” water column which is the recommended pressure for gas fire pits. Water Column (WC) is a measurement of pressure common in the gas industry. It is the pressure necessary to raise water in a column by a specified height. For comparison 27” WC is equal to 1.0 psi.

PREVENTS WHISTLING IN GAS FIRE PITS - The most common cause of a whistling sound coming from a natural gas fire pit or fireplace is too high of gas pressure. By reducing the pressure with this regulator your key valve will no longer need to act as a pressure regulator preventing the whistling sound. The second likely cause is using a standard flex line – be sure you’re using a whistle-free flex lines for your gas fire pit, fireplace, or grill.
